Archived – but still there! – Introduction

Many caches that have been archived are still in place and finds may be logged in the same way as a normal cache. There are several ways this situation can occur:

• A cache has not been maintained and a reviewer has archived it, but the cache was never removed and remains in place.
• A cache owner has lost interest and has archived his/her caches but has never bothered to remove them.
• A cache owner has archived them with groundspeak but has listed them on another cache listing site.
• A cache owner genuinely thinks a cache has gone missing and archives it, but the cache is still there (or somewhere near!)

If you know of such a cache within the Dartmoor National Park please create a topic within this forum giving the name and GC code, I will link it up to the cache listing.
