Since I started caching in September 2011 I have come across at least a dozen caches that were damp bordering on wet and occasionally caches that I had to pour water out of. I have now started carrying a cache repair kit containing replacement logs of all sizes and resealable bags to protect them. I have removed and dried out damp logs and have notified COs who have been grateful to receive the dried out log (or even a pdf scan of it!).
I think this should be the next drive from GAGB. We’ve had CITO so lets have FIMI (Find it – maintain it)
