The only concerns really are that you never know if there’s a problem with the cache if these phantom finds are logged . I know these logs should be deleted but they know they are cheating so ill let them have there points .
On a lighter note 🙂 who is Kilroy ? Is stamp is everywhere and I mean everywhere , he or even she must do some miles 😆redvanman1971ParticipantHaving just replaced some of the logs in the Emily Cache series and having read some of the comments above , I thought I would go through the List against the names on the online log . Now I can understand forgot the pen log as I have done that myself , but will always try and supply a photo as evidence .
So I was amazed how many names are missing from the written log , and some are those with finds in the thousands .
It must be all about the numbers because this set of caches are so easy to find 😕redvanman1971ParticipantLooks like the Fox Tor cache as become the latest throwdown victim . Was going to see about taking over this one as I have a stamp that can replace the one that’s missing. 😕
redvanman1971ParticipantAll Take and no give , well it seems the phantom film pot pincher as struck again 😈
Not happy with taking some from the Emily Series it seems they have moved onto Cox Tor Circular . Are some Cachers that desperate ❓ .
They cost peanuts on sites like ebay . Would be interesting to hear from other owners who have had the same problem.redvanman1971ParticipantHi Spatienspedes , Did you registered with http://www.geocaching.com ? the easiest way is use the site map and download the nearest caches from your planned walks on to your GPS .
Or the other option is print of the required coordinates and manually put them into your GPS.Regards Mark (redvanman1971)
redvanman1971ParticipantOurt Garmin is the Etrex 20 , I did have the Etrex 10 for a short while but did miss the colour maps.
I got the maps from a site called http://talkytoaster.info/ukmaps.htm , very easy to download onto a memory card and load onto your Garmin
( not sure if the Etrex 10 had a memory card slot ).The only difference between the 20 and the 30 is the 20 hasn’t got a barometric altimeter, wireless data sharing, and a 3-axis electronic compass.
Apart from the unwanted waypoints due to the joystick as mentioned by Tamerton Chocolates I do find it a easy piece of equipment to use .
