2016 Dartmoor Geocoin Race – Final Positions

I have now been able to finalise the winners and race positions for the 2016 Dartmoor Geocoin Race.  The first 3 places will receive 2017 Dartmoor Geocoins.  The good news is that most of the geocoins still seem to be moving with many travelling to distant countries and with only 2 or 3 that definitely look lost.  Once again I must apologise for the lateness of these final race positions, but hopefully we are there now.  However, if I have left anybody out or you can spot any errors then please do let me know and I will correct them immediately.

For some reason the race didn’t capture the same enthusiasm as previous years with a much smaller entry, many late activations and some coins not being activated at all.  I know that I should have chased these up earlier but most of my available spare time this year has been spent placing new caches and maintaining existing ones, rather than sitting at my computer screen.

As promised on facebook, I will ensure that the race runs smoothly next year and with many race position updates throughout the year.  Also as promised, I will offer all of those who activated and released race coins this year a very special deal for next year – they will be able to buy their race coins at half the normal price, more details to follow.
